Q-force cancelled

Q-Force cancelled. Oh no, anyway

Q-Force is a series on Netflix that has me absolutely dumbfounded. The fact that it exists is proof enough that we may all be living in a simulation. One run by a 9 year old imbecile. It’s produced by Gabe Liedman as a showrunner, along with Sean Hayes, Todd Milliner and it shouldn’t have even aired.

I get that there are many different humours out there, and that perhaps as a heterosexual I don’t ‘get’ this. But hells bells, this show is offensive to even homophobes. You only have to look at the comments section of Youtube to see what I mean. Here’s the offending shitshow of a series:

I’ve watched that twice now, and it gets worse the more I see it. Talk about reinforcing stereotypes that have done nothing to help a cause.

It’s poetic justice we learn this abomination won’t be renewed a day after Pride Month ends. It also blows my mind that they can cancel really smart shows like Teenage Bounty Hunters, but pour money into this trash.

It’s interesting to look at some of the reactions from critics to the first season. I mean in the sense that they, too managed, to stereotype an entire group of people. With one going as far as praising the show’s ability to ‘sketch sex and desire as an integral part of queerness.’ In the words of the Virgin Mary, come again? No mate. Just, no. Sex and desire are also integral parts of a 13-year-old boys locker, but we don’t sum them up as that.

Some also note that the show had good intentions. I agree. If you are a rich actor who has lost touch with how normal people actually live, this might be a take. And Netflix is losing subscribers? No shit.

All the series and all the movies couldn't put society back together again.
